About Timber Bay B&B

Since we first visited Alaska we have had the desire to live there. You see, Alaska is not a place it is a disease! In 1995 we went to Alaska with the express purpose of finding some land in a place that we would like to retire to. We found 3 Acres on East End Road, 15 miles from the City of Homer. At that time the road was only paved to McNeal Canyon Elementary School, Mile 13. From there you were on a winding dirt road. Heaven! The land was purchased and we have been planning ever since. The road is now paved and straightened out.
Since we enjoy staying at Bed and Breakfasts we thought it would be nice to operate one in our retirement years. Hence the birth of Timber Bay B&B. Our home will be of Timber Frame Construction with a Day Light Basement. We will have 4 Bedrooms and an Apartment for rent. All rooms will have a private bath as well as Satellite TV. The view will be spectacular, and breakfast will be to die for. We plan on moving next summer (2004) with an opening of the B&B in Late Fall or Early Winter.
